WHATSAPP POLLS IS SOON COMING TO COMMUNITIES, WHATSAPP UPDATES (AUGUST 2023)

Hi friends,

WhatsApp is releasing a new update via the Google Play Beta Program. This update brings the version number to 2.23.17.22. What does this update bring? Well, WhatsApp is adding a new feature. Now, you can share polls in community announcement groups. This feature is available to some beta testers.

In the article about the update for WhatsApp beta on Android 2.23.15.13, we shared that WhatsApp was making a new feature available to many people. This feature lets members in community announcement groups react to messages that are shared. Earlier, this feature was given to only a small group of beta testers in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.14.19 update. This update also included a way to keep your phone number private. WhatsApp has now added a way for you to make a poll in community announcement groups. To see if this is on for you, just go into a community announcement group where you are in charge. Look for a “polls” icon there. Remember, you might only see this in bigger community announcement groups. It could work only if the group has less than 1024 people. Therefore, trying it out in multiple groups is recommended.
WhatsApp Polls in Community Keeps Voters Anonymous

Now that you can make polls in the community announcement group, WhatsApp gives community admins another way to talk to the community. Through polls, community admins can engage members by asking questions and involving them in decision-making. It’s really important to know that this works together with the phone number privacy option. So, when you vote in a poll, your phone number stays private and hidden
