HONOR 200 Series: Call Recording Now Available with Latest OTA Update!

Hi friends,

Last month, HONOR launched the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro smartphones in India. At the time of their release, these devices running MagicOS 8.0 lacked a call recording feature.

HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro Receive Call Recording Feature with New Update

Today, HONOR has introduced version N39I 8.0.0.135, which adds the long-awaited call recording functionality to both models. This update not only brings the call recording feature but also enhances phone stability, performance, and security. Additionally, it provides a smoother user interface, improving the overall experience for users.

To update your device and access the new features, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select System & updates.
  • Tap on Software update.
  • Click on Check for Updates.

Note that this update is being rolled out gradually. While some users may receive it immediately, others may need to wait a bit longer. We have not yet received the update on our HONOR 200 unit but will provide further details as soon as it becomes available.

Essential Tips for Everyone

  • Know the Law: Always check if call recording is legal where you live. Rules change from place to place.
  • Be Transparent: It’s polite to let the other person know you’re recording the call.
  • Manage Your Storage: Call recordings take up space. Regularly clean up old recordings.
  • Focus on Sound: For clear recordings, use your phone in a quiet spot with good cell service.
  • Use Headphones: If it’s noisy, pop in your headphones for better sound.
  • Save Your Recordings: Consider using cloud storage to keep important calls safe.
  • Protect Your Privacy: Keep your phone and cloud accounts secure with strong passwords.
