realme, the most popular smartphone brand among Indian youth, has announced the launch of the realme C85 5G, a new addition to its C-series portfolio focused on strong battery performance, smooth display experience and reliable 5G connectivity. The realme C85 5G also marks a major milestone for the brand by achieving a Guinness World Records® title for “Most people performing a mobile phone water resistance test,” highlighting the device’s durability.

The realme C85 5G is the only device in the segment to offer a 7000mAh battery combined with 45W fast charging — delivering both a larger capacity and faster charging in one package. The realme C85 5G has a slim 8.38mm body and weighs 215g, and will be available in two colours: Parrot Purple and Peacock Green.
The realme C85 5G features a 6.8-inch HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1200-nit high brightness mode for better visibility outdoors. With a 90.04 percent screen-to-body ratio and support for both DCI-P3 and sRGB gamuts, the display is designed to offer smooth motion and accurate colours. Powering the realme C85 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset paired with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU, running on realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15.
For imaging, the realme C85 5G uses a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF for faster focusing. The camera supports modes such as Night, Portrait, PRO, Street, Hi-Res, Dual-view video, Underwater mode and Cinematic video. Users also get features like slow-motion at 120fps, time-lapse and multi-view video.
The realme C85 5G also introduces the AI Edit Genie, a smart editing assistant designed to make photo and video enhancements quick and effortless. Alongside this, the device stands out in durability with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust, water, high-pressure jets and extreme conditions. With IP69 Pro-Level water resistance*capabilities, it can withstand up to 60 days underwater, resist 36 different liquids and endure hot-water exposure up to 85 degrees, making it the toughest and most reliable device in its segment.
**realme C85 reaches the IP66/68/69 level under the IEC 60529 standard. ‘Pro’ represents the simultaneous compliance with IPX6, PX8, PX9 and the special water resistance capabilities defined outside the existing standards. Please do not charge your phone in a humid state.
The realme C85 5G will be available in two storage variants. The 4GB + 128GB variant will be priced at ₹15,499 with the a special offer price of ₹14,999 and 6GB + 128GB variant will be priced at ₹16,999 with a special offer price of ₹16,499 will be available on Flipkart, realme.com and across mainline stores, with the first sale scheduled from 28th November to 1st December.
