Mijia by Xiaomi, Xiaomi’s smart home and lifestyle brand, today announced its India debut with the launch of the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 and Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact. Designed to address the evolving needs of modern Indian homes, the new air purifiers combine powerful air purification with intelligent monitoring, connected controls and quiet operation, offering consumers solutions tailored to different spaces across the home.

Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6: Powerful Air Purification for Larger Spaces
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is designed for spaces of up to 940 sq. ft. based on 2 air changes per hour (ACPH), making it suitable for larger living rooms, master bedrooms and other spacious areas of the home.
With a Particle CADR of 443 m³/h and a Formaldehyde CADR of 218 m³/h, the purifier is engineered to circulate and purify a high volume of air, helping reduce common indoor pollutants including dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, formaldehyde and other airborne particles.
The purifier can circulate clean air through a 108 sq ft room in approximately 3.5 minutes, based on Xiaomi’s test conditions, making it suited to spaces where air quality can change throughout the day.
The purifier features India’s only PentaClean purification system*, designed to tackle a broad range of particulate and gaseous pollutants through multiple stages of air treatment. The system combines advanced filtration with activated carbon, which helps address gaseous pollutants such as formaldehyde, while UV-C light and Negative Ion technology provide additional layers of air treatment. Together, the five-stage filtration system is designed to deliver cleaner, fresher air across everyday indoor spaces.
For everyday household use, the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 can work alongside the different activities taking place in a home. Whether the living room is being used for family time, the dining area has just been used for cooking, or the bedroom is being prepared for the night, the purifier is designed to continuously support the indoor environment.
Real-Time Air Quality Information at a Glance
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 brings greater visibility into indoor air quality through its built-in large colour display. Users can view information including PM2.5 and PM1 levels, temperature and humidity, along with air-quality and operating status indicators.
This allows users to better understand the environment around them and make adjustments based on their requirements, rather than relying solely on the purifier to operate in the background.
The purifier can also be managed through the Xiaomi Home App, allowing users to control operation, adjust settings, schedule purification, monitor air quality and check filter life remotely. It also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for compatible voice-control functions, subject to regional availability.
Designed for Quieter Nights
Air purification is often needed when the home is at its quietest. The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 features a dedicated Sleep Mode with noise levels of approximately 32dB(A), allowing it to continue operating through the night while minimising disruption.
This makes it suitable for bedrooms and other spaces where users want continuous air purification without adding significant background noise to their environment.
Added Layers of Air Treatment
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 incorporates UV-C technology as an additional layer of air treatment. The UV-C LED operates within the purifier and helps reduce microorganisms present on the filter and along the airflow path.
The purifier also features a Negative Ion function, which releases negative ions into the air. The function is enabled by default and can be switched off through the Xiaomi Home App.

Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact: Cleaner Air for Personal Spaces
For bedrooms, kids’ rooms, study areas and home offices, the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact brings air purification into smaller everyday spaces. Designed for rooms of 400+ sq. ft., it combines a compact footprint with a 3-in-1 filtration system designed to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
The filtration system helps address common household pollutants including dust, pollen, smoke, pet hair and pet dander, making it well suited to personal spaces where people spend several hours each day.
The purifier also carries TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification and is designed to help filter common airborne allergens such as pollen and dust, providing an added layer of reassurance for households looking to manage everyday airborne allergens.
Know Your Air at a Glance
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact makes air quality easy to understand through its four-colour air quality indicator. The indicator provides a simple visual reference, with green representing good air quality, followed by yellow, orange and red as detected pollution levels increase.
For everyday use, the purifier’s Auto Mode can automatically adjust purification speed based on the air quality it detects. Users can also select Sleep Mode for quieter operation or Manual Mode when they want greater control over purification.
Small Footprint, Quiet Operation
Designed to fit naturally into personal spaces, the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact weighs just 2.2kg, making it easy to move and position according to the needs of the room. It can be placed on a desk, side table or floor, offering flexibility across different home environments.
At night, Sleep Mode operates at just 20dB, while the display switches off, allowing the purifier to continue operating without adding unnecessary light or noise to the bedroom environment.
At maximum power running continuously for 24 hours, this translates to approximately 0.65kWh of electricity consumption, helping keep everyday running costs manageable.
Connected Air Care Through Xiaomi Home
The Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact also brings connected functionality through the Xiaomi Home App. Users can remotely control the purifier, check air quality, adjust settings and set timers from their smartphone.
The purifier also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for compatible voice-control functions, allowing users to manage purification through voice commands.

Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite Returns
Alongside the launch of Mijia by Xiaomi, Xiaomi is reintroducing the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite, expanding its air-care portfolio with a versatile solution for everyday spaces. Offering up to 360m³/h Particle CADR and effective coverage of 269–463 sq. ft., it is designed for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices. Its three-layer filtration system combines a primary filter, high-efficiency filter and activated carbon to tackle common airborne particles and household odours, while TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care Certification adds independent validation of its allergen-filtration capabilities. With 33.4dB(A) Night Mode, real-time air-quality monitoring and smart controls through the Xiaomi Home App, the 4 Lite is built for convenient, continuous air purification as part of everyday home life.
