OPPO was set to unveil its next-generation Find series flagship smartphones in Barcelona, Spain on 22nd February was the launch event was postponed after GSMA cancelled the Mobile World Congress 2020 because of coronavirus outbreak.
Today, the company has confirmed that the OPPO Find X2 series smartphones will be launched on 6th March. OPPO is expected to launch two smartphones at the event — Find X2 and Find X2 Pro.
Recent revelations indicate that the OPPO Find X2 will come with a 6.5-inch Samsung OLED curved display offering 3K screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to have 240Hz sampling rate, can convert SDR to HDR, offer maximum 1200nit brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3.
The display is said to have Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top for protection. Under the hood, the device will come powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, along with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
As for the cameras, the device will feature a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, and a 13 megapixel telephoto lens. It is also said to come with the world’s first full-pixel omnidirectional focusing technology.
On the front side, the device will be equipped with 32-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling. The phone will run Android 10 operating system out of the box with the company’s own ColorOS 7 on top.
In terms of battery, it will be powered by a 4065 mAh battery and is said to come with 65W fast charging technology, similar to the one we’ve seen on the OPPO Reno Ace, along with support for 30W wireless flash charge and 10W reverse charging.
We’ll get to know more about the smartphone along with its pricing and availability details at the launch event in the coming days. Along with the Find X2 and X2 Pro smartphones, the company is also expected to launch OPPO Watch at the event.
