ColorOS 8 update release date
OPPO has one device-Reno in the 2019 Android Q Developer Preview Program. This year’s Android R developer preview program can accommodate more devices, and OPPO may add one or two more devices to the program.
In fact, OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro have been invited to join the ColorOS beta program, the purpose is to bring more new features to the duo. The recruitment process will end on May 15th, about the same time we expect Google to open the beta version of Android 11.
Considering that Reno has been able to access the Android Q developer preview since May 2019, and chose ColorOS 7 beta based on Android 10 in November 2019, and received a stable update in April 2020, it explains how When you can expect OPPO Android 11 update to arrive.
If anything, we are looking for another 2020 release date for the Beta version of ColorOS 8 and the stable first quarter of 2021. Again, this is just a hunch from the side of the table, which means that anything can change in the process. Just in case, we will update this story.
Of the many devices that have Android Oreo pre-installed that meet the requirements of ColorOS 7, there are only a few devices, which means that Android 10 will be its second major operating system upgrade. This tells us that, after all, OPPO will also push the two operating system updates to some of its devices.
OPPO Find X may miss the ColorOS 8 update
How the company determines which devices will receive so many OS updates is unclear. But even so, we have listed some OPPO devices below, and we think these devices may be upgraded to the ColorOS 8 update based on Android 11 by 2021.
– OPPO Find X2 series – OPPO Reno, Reno2 and Reno3 series – OPPO Reno Ace and Reno Ace2 series – OPPO F11 series – OPPO F15 – OPPO A9 2019/2020 – OPPO A9x – OPPO K3 – OPPO K5 – OPPO A11
Your device is not on the list? Don’t worry, this is not the final list of OPPO devices that can be updated with Android 11. After the official information is published, we will update this post
