Almost a year has passed since the release of MIUI 12.5, and Xiaomi has come to the end of MIUI 13 work. A few days ago, MIUI 13 stable tests started for the 7 flagship device. Xiaomi has updated at least 2 new versions on top of those versions. Xiaomi, started to work on MIUI 13 as a closed internal beta, so Xiaomi will not give MIUI 13 in beta and then stable, as in previous years. Instead, they will release the stable and then the beta version to us.
MIUI 13 Eligible Versions & Release Stages
MIUI 13 will be available on Android 11 and above devices. All devices that will receive the Android 12 update will also be able to use the MIUI 13. Xiaomi’s 118 devices fit these criteria. Tests of 7 of them started 1 week ago and are still progress. Devices upgraded to Android 12 will get MIUI 13 before Android 11 devices. On Android 12 devices, first flagship devices, then devices using flagship processors and devices with flagship quality will receive the update. Later, popular midrange devices and then devices using Android 11 are expected to be updated.
MIUI 13 Feature Eligibility
As we saw in MIUI 12, MIUI 12.5 and older versions, all features were not available on Android versions below the target Android version. The target Android version for MIUI 12 is Android 10, the target Android version for MIUI 12.5 is Android 11, and the target Android version for MIUI 13 is Android 12.
