Honor 9X set to launch in India on 14th Jan

Chinese phone maker, Honor, is on the verge of launching its first phone in India in 2020. The company has released a teaser which reveals that the Honor 9X will be launched in India on January 14. The phone has also been announced to come to India exclusively through Flipkart.

Along with the Honor 9X, the company is also expected to launch the Magic Watch 2 at the event on January 14. Earlier, the company had released a teaser that all but confirmed Honor’s partnership with Flipkart for the phone.

The teaser featured a timeline of all Honor X series phones launched in the past — starting with the Honor 4X that was launched in October 2104 to the Honor 8X launched in 2018 and what now appears to be the Honor 9X which will be launched in 2020.

In the past few weeks, Honor has been increasingly teasing the device through its social media handles with catchphrases like Sometimes it’s good to go back to your X’, and Do you have an X factor in you?’

As for the device itself, Honor 9X is expected to come to India sporting a 6.59-inch OLED display and could be powered by a new Kirin 710F SoC chipset. It could bring with it a triple camera set-up including a 48-megapixel primary lens paired to a 2-megapixel secondary and 8-megapixel lens to complete the triple camera setup. The phone will also feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera for clicking selfies. It will house a 4,000mAh battery and support fast charging
The phone could also get a traditional fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometric security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.

As we mentioned above, the event could also see Honor launch the Magic Watch 2 come to India with a 1.39-inch full-color AMOLED touchscreen and it 4GB internal storage of which 2GB can be used for music storage. The Magic Watch 2 supports 15 goal-based fitness modes and comes with a number of health tracking features. Honor says that the TruSleep 2.0 technology in the smartwatch can precisely diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorders.

It can also detect the users’ stress level and help them relax using HUAWEI’s TruRelax technology. It is water resistance up to 50 meters and it comes in two sizes – 46mm and 42mm.
