Realme will release the world’s first smartphone with Qualcomm’s 5G integrated chip

Realme announced its true flagship phone for the year, the Realme X2 Pro in China a few minutes ago. The phone comes with the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus flagship-grade processor and takes on the likes of the Redmi K20 Pro that has been the segment leader for the past few months. At the same event, Realme also confirmed that it will be the first brand to release a smartphone with Qualcomm’s new 5G integrated chipset.
A few weeks back, Realme revealed that it was working on a 5G integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series smartphone. But today’s announcement confirms that it will be the first brand to carry this 5G chipset. The company also gave out a few interesting figures about its progress so far.
Realme’s CMO Xu Qi announced that it has over 17 million global users today. It is present in more than 20 countries across the world and the latest Realme X2 Pro launch will mark its entry into four more Western Europe namely Spain, UK, France, and Italy. The company also confirmed that its first Realme store will open in Hangzhou, China, in November 2019.

In an earlier conversation, Realme’s CEO Madhav Seth confirmed that its upcoming Snapdragon 700 series smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s AI Engine and Qualcomm Elite Gaming features. The company aims to release the handset by the end of 2019. Apart from Realme, Qualcomm’s 5G integrated Snapdragon 600, 700, and 800 series chipsets will make it all the major brands like OPPO, Redmi, Vivo, LG, Nokia, and even Motorola
